Aside from his alltoo rare appearances in assembly, we hear from himonly indirectly— an unexpected holiday has beengranted to us, a rainy morning has made it impossibleto have school, or sugar rationing means a weekof half sessions for us. Yet Mr. Strong is an integralpart of our West Orange Schools. He it is who attendsto the thousand and one details and problemsarising not only in our school, but also in the grammarand junior high schools. In spite of the manydemands on his time, he is an ardent rooter at allWest Orange football games, cheering the touchdownsand sighing at the failures. Interested in thewelfare of all of us, both individually and collectively,Mr. Strong receives our wholewearted admirationand respect.22
