E It's action all the way asS the Got label kicks off with aCTreal winner.TE Trantor gives you arcadeRSaction with a capital Al And it'sUTprobably the best game theMEAmstrad has seen for a longtime. 4D8 The scenario goes like this.: Trantor is the sole survivor from/Sa team of stormtroopers sent tothe 1P planet Nebulithon todestroy 2E the deadly Quark Mk31Cbomb and restore peace andharmony 1 to the galaxy.TRUM/Someone sabotaged thestormtroopers' ship which wasdestroyed as soon as it landedin the underground complexwhere the bomb is hidden.Trantor escaped—but facesan additional hazard apart fromthe alien defence systems, Hisbosses implanted all the troopswith a special bionic bodybombjust to make sure theycompleted the mission andcame back without pinching thebomb for their own evilschemes.This means that Trantor hasto dash between securityterminals in the undergroundcomplex resetting the timer onhis body bomb. He gets just 90seconds to dash between theterminals which also dish outother goodies—like energygiving food, ammo and the allimportantsecurity letterswhich, made up into a wholepassword, will give you yourbeam code used to escape thishostile environment.In between you must fight offnoardes of droid defenders andsome awesome looking Alientypecreatures.Run, shoot, duck and dodgeyour way through the everchanging tunnel complex.Search the lockers for extraequipment and watch out forthe eight computer terminals.Without the code you'redead. It's easy to access theterminals—no fiddling aboutwith keyboard controls.Just position Trantor in frontof the terminal and pull downon the joystick. The screenchanges and you see a print outof the code letter you'vediscovered as your time clockresets.Access the lockers and thegame freezes while thecontenets are displayed in thestatus readout at the top of thescreen.Animation and graphics areexcellent on both Spectrum andAmstrad versions. Andgameplay is totally addictive.The Amstrad game is one of themost colourful and actionpacked that machine has everseen.Watch out for the animatedloading sequence which showsTrantor's ship slowly landing—and then detonating, leavingour hero all alone on the plane.At the end of each attemptyou get a percentage rating anda cute comment on yourperformance. See if you canspot the rude remark aboutFergus McGovern — the boss ofthe programming team Probesoftware.Sound isn't bad, specially onthe + 3.
