In Greek, theword “quicken” means “to give life back.” This is veryclear in English. “The resurrection” means “to restorelife” (Matthew 10:28). God can give you life throughHis Son, Jesus.Are you beginning to understand why God adopts youfrom your human parents? When mankind is left tothemselves, they die. Only God can restore you to lifeeverlasting after you die. That is why Solomon, thepreacher, said, “Then shall the dust [decayed body] returnto the earth as it was: and the spirit shall returnto God who gave it” (Ecclesiastes 12:7). This means aspiritual resurrection must occur. You must becomespiritual through The Resurrection to become a Son ofGod.
