Fine Arts studentsexplore drawing, painting,printmaking and mixed media.Creative expression and effectivecommunication are fostered by a solidfoundation of work from observationand perception. Studio work andfrequent feedback from faculty andvisiting artists nurture student artisticaccomplishments. Students learnhow form and content in a work of artinteract to yield meaning. In addition,group discussion, lectures, seminarsand individual consultations withfaculty and visiting artists, develop thetechnical ability, critical awareness,knowledge of historical frameworks,and self-discipline to form a unique,personal vision. Fine Arts majors takefrequent trips to museums, galleries,and artists’ studios to further enhancethe lessons learned in the studio.
