SlideroomApplicants who are unable to arrange a personal portfolio review at DCAD,may also submit their portfolio by downloading their images to DCAD’sSlideroom account. For a $10 fee, Slideroom allows the applicant to submitup to 20 still images, or a combination <strong>of</strong> still images <strong>and</strong> video.High School TranscriptsOfficial High School transcripts or GED must be sent to the DCADAdmissions Office for admission consideration. A final high school transcriptwith graduation date or equivalent is required prior to entering DCAD.SAT or ACT ScoresThe submission <strong>of</strong> SAT or ACT scores, though not required, is highlyrecommended. Applicants should ensure that all st<strong>and</strong>ardized testscores (SAT or ACT), if available, are included with their transcripts.DCAD’s CEEB code is 5161.<strong>College</strong> TranscriptsStudents who have completed college courses must forward <strong>of</strong>ficialtranscripts from all colleges attended, whether or not they think the creditis transferable. Equivalent courses completed with a “C” grade or higherat accredited colleges or universities will be reviewed <strong>and</strong> evaluated fortransfer credit into the DCAD curriculum.Rolling Admissions DeadlineDCAD <strong>of</strong>fers an Early Action Application deadline <strong>of</strong> December 1,for students requesting to receive an admission decision prior to January 1<strong>of</strong> their senior year. To be considered for DCAD’s Merit-Based Scholarships,applications must be completed by March 15 for the fall semester <strong>and</strong>December 1 for the spring semester. Applicants applying after this deadlineare considered through a rolling admission policy up until two weeks priorto the start <strong>of</strong> a semester. On occasion, DCAD will institute a wait-list <strong>of</strong>accepted students <strong>and</strong> determine enrollment on a space-available basis.Students who decide to attend DCAD must submit a tuition deposit bythe universal deposit deadline <strong>of</strong> May 1. Deposits are refundable prior toMay 1. Students requesting housing must also submit a deposit to securea space in DCAD housing. In most cases, admissions decisions aredelivered by mail within a two- to three-week time frame from the date<strong>of</strong> application completion.
