Competitions available in poultry, beef, dairy and horse judging. ABGA-Sanctioned Boer Goats — Open to the world. Junior Meat Goats — Open to North Carolina and South Carolina youths, plus any youth participating in the Foothills Goat and Sheep Association Youth Show Circuit. Junior Market Lambs — Open to youth exhibitors in Cleveland, Burke, Catawba, Gaston, Lincoln and Rutherford counties in North Carolina, and Cherokee and York counties in South Carolina, plus any youth participating in the Catawba Valley Livestock Foundation Carolina Farm Credit Youth Show Circuit. ADGA-Sanctioned Dairy Goats — Open to the world. Junior Dairy Goats — Open to North Carolina youths. Horses and Ponies — Open to exhibitors in Cleveland, Burke, Catawba, Gaston, Lincoln and Rutherford counties in North Carolina, and Cherokee and York counties in South Carolina. Junior Beef Cattle — Open to youth exhibitors in Cleveland, Burke, Catawba, Gaston, Lincoln and Rutherford counties in North Carolina, and Cherokee and York counties in South Carolina. Junior Market Hogs — Open to youth exhibitors in Cleveland, Burke, Catawba, Gaston, Lincoln and Rutherford counties in North Carolina. Entry information Make your entries early! n Available pens and tie spaces are assigned in the order entries are received. n No entries will be accepted after Sept. 16, <strong>2015</strong>. Entry forms n All livestock must be entered on an official Cleveland County <strong>Fair</strong> Entry Form for Livestock and Horses located in the back of this book or online at www.ClevelandCounty<strong>Fair</strong>.com. Click on the “<strong>2015</strong> Events” tab and then on “Entry Form.” n Use a separate entry form for making entries in each department. For example, do not include goats and lambs on the same entry form. n All entry forms must be filled in completely, accurately and legibly. n List the class number as indicated in the premium list and for each entry made. n Use a separate line for each animal. n Do not enter championship classes. n Do enter group classes and showmanship classes as appropriate. Fees Remittance made payable to “Cleveland County <strong>Fair</strong>” must accompany the entry form. Entry fees are required for all entries in senior (open) classes. Entries exclusively in the Junior Livestock Show are not subject to fees. Please be sure to indicate on the entry form the total number of animals you will be bringing. Storage for tack and feed will be allocated by the livestock superintendent and horse superintendent subject to the space available. Check-in Animals must be delivered to the fairgrounds during the dates and times indicated in the rules and regulations for each department unless a variance is approved by the relevant department director. Exhibitors removing their animals from the fairgrounds prior to the posted release time without approval by the department superintendent shall forfeit all premiums earned and shall be prohibited from competition at the Cleveland County <strong>Fair</strong> the following year. 19
