Note that the film depicts wall-mounted video displays, with minimal HCI complexity<br />

explicitly shown. No hardware controls, no voice-comm<strong>and</strong> moments, no set-up, <strong>and</strong><br />

little or no navigation among channels, groups, or persons is depicted, only the basic<br />

ability to connect. Like many science-fiction movies, the phenomenon is presented<br />

abstractly <strong>and</strong> with little acknowledgement of complex human-computer or humanmedium<br />

interaction.<br />
