most colourful stories in the Bibletook place – the summer grapeharvestfestival when the daughtersof Shiloh came out dancing andthe men of Benjamin sought bridesfrom among them (Judges 21:15-23).Today, Shiloh’s hills are once againproducing wine – some of the best inthe world – thus fulfilling propheticscripture: ‘New wine will drip from themountains and flow from all the hills, and I will bring my people Israel backfrom exile. They will rebuild the ruinedcities and live in them. They will plantvineyards and drink their wine; theywill make gardens and eat their fruit. Iwill plant Israel in their own land, neveragain to be uprooted from the land I havegiven them.” (Amos 9:13 – 15). Therewe stood, at the exact place on TelShiloh where the Tabernacle stood. This would also be the spot whereHannah came to pray for a son. Later, she dedicated that son, Samuel, toserve in the Tabernacle. Today Shilohhas a visitor centre with an excellentengaging audiovisual presentation. At Beit El, our wonderful guideRachel from Keshet EducationalTours informed the tour group thatthis place is where God Himself hasstamped His Name and ownership. In Isaiah God answers Israel’s heartcry with: ‘Can a woman forget hernursing child and have no compassionon the son of her womb? Even thesemay forget, but I will not forget you.Behold, I have inscribed you on thepalms of My hands”’ (Isaiah 49:14-16).Israel’s name has been inscribed, written on the palm of God’s hand. It’s impossible for Him to forget HisJewish people Israel. Yet along withthat, God is concerned for His NationIsrael, so much so that He has writtenיהוהHis Name – YHVH in the land there. It is at Beit El (Bethel) that from spaceone can see God’s name written inthe topography of the land - (YHVH- Yod Heh Vav Heh, read right to left)- Yahweh or Yahveh. There are someplaces that one can’t adequately putinto words. There are some placesthat need to be seen, remain silentand stand in awe of God. This is sucha place – Beit El – the House of God.2015 Christian Friendsof Israel - JerusalemCD AUDIO SETSJUNE 1-4, 2015 JERUSALEMCFI Jerusalem 30 th Anniversary Conference Talks 2015Session I The Significance of Israel: Her role in light of Bible prophecy Peter Tsukahira (54 mins)Session II Christian Anti-Semitism: Shall we now remain silent?
