ARTICLE I – PURPOSE AND CONFORMANCESECTION 100519.01, et seq.PURPOSEThis resolution is enacted in accordance with the <strong>Ohio</strong> Revised <strong>Code</strong>, Section<strong>Ohio</strong> Revised <strong>Code</strong> 519.02<strong>Township</strong> Trustees may regulate building and land use in unincorporatedterritory for public purpose. For the purpose of promoting the public health, safety, and morals,the board of township trustees may, in accordance with a comprehensive plan, regulate byresolution the location, height, bulk, number of stories, and size of buildings and other structures,including tents, cabins, and trailer coaches, percentages of lot areas which may be occupied,setback building lines, sizes of yards, courts, and other open spaces, the density of population,the uses of buildings and other structures, including tents cabins, and trailer coaches, and the usesof land for trade, industry, residence, recreation, or other purposes in the unincorporated territoryof such township, and for such purposes may divide all or any part of the unincorporatedterritory of the township into districts or zones of such number, shape, and area as the boarddetermines. All such regulations shall be uniform for each class or kind of building or otherstructure or use throughout any district or zone, but the regulations in one district or zone maydiffer from those in other districts or zones. No building shall be located, erected,constructed, reconstructed, enlarged, changed, maintained, or used, and no land shall be used inviolation of any resolution, or amendment or supplement to such resolution, adopted by anyboard of township trustees under sections 519.02 to 519.25, inclusive, of the <strong>Ohio</strong> Revised <strong>Code</strong>.Each day’s continuation of a violation of this section may be deemed a separate offense.(Amended eff. 1/7/95)ARTICLE II – TITLEThis Resolution shall be known as and shall be cited and referred to as the“<strong>Nimishillen</strong> <strong>Township</strong>, <strong>Stark</strong> <strong>County</strong>, <strong>Ohio</strong>, <strong>Zoning</strong> Resolution.”3
