GRANT BROOKERGrant Brooker (BA(Hons) Dip Arch RIBA AHKIA) is Design Director at DesignGroup 1. He studied at the Canterbury School of Architecture and joinedFoster Associates in 1987. He has since been responsible for a large numberof built projects in Europe and South East Asia, including leading the designteam for Hong Kong International Airport in 1992. He currently leads agroup of some 100 architects involved in a wide range of cultural, office,airport and residential projects.ELEONORA CERVELLERAEleonora is a Senior Public Affairs Consultant at Buro Happold. Her role is toengage effectively with various stakeholders, promote business activities,and develop thought-leadership linked to the long-term business strategyacross the business streams. She provides knowledge about newopportunities of business engagement, new influencing platforms withnational and international decision-makers, and new potential routes tomarkets. Prior to Buro Happold, she has worked as a researcher for theEuropean Parliament, as a Public Affairs executive at a London based TradeAssociation and as a Corporate Responsibility consultant for various thirdsector organisations. Chip is a Fellowof the American Society of Landscape Architects, serves on HOK’s Board ofDirectors and Design Board, as well as the ASLA CEO Roundtable, and isPresident-Elect of the Board of the Landscape Architecture Foundation.With all his prestigious experience both in the US and countries around theworld, it’s his humility, generosity and openness that resonates with his coworkers,clients and colleagues. His motivation is to do the right thing; forhis profession, the environment, his employees and his clients. Chip is theperpetrator of many catchphrases, such as ‘it’s the HOK effect,’ ‘orbit thehairball,’ and ‘keep on jammin’,’ which are fondly referred to as ‘Chipisms.’His ability to inspire no doubt derives from his passionate commitment tothe environment, great design and community responsibility.
