Chilindrón moved to the medium of acrylic and the useof color in the year 2000.Nine Triangles, 2009, is a small sculpture of acrylic and hinges that changes configuration, making flat trianglesor three-sided pyramids depending whether or not the sculpture is opened or closed. The transparencies ofthe color black become gray-toned as they overlap with the clear acrylic layers, working both in the pictorialrealm and as tridimensional sculptures as they become activated by the re-configurations.Chilindrón studied fine arts at the State University of New York in 1980 after having completed two summerinternships at the Camnitzer-Porter Studio in 1977-78.
