What is P43®?The P43® machine was developed jointly by Exxon Researchand Engineering and Butterworth Systems as a replacementto side entering propeller mixers.Permanent installation and periodic use of these machinestotally eliminates the need for side entering propeller mixers,which results in substantial electrical cost savings as the P43®requires no electrical source.The P43® works by directing a submerged jet of crude oilacross the bottom of the storage tank, which dissolves andre-suspends the accumulated sludge throughout theoverhead oil.The P43® machine requires no electrical or other power sourceto operate. Only the nozzlefacing away from the tankshell discharges.P43® External Indicator MechanismThe P43® unit can also be supplied with a visual indicatormechanism.
