A Blueprint for
Community Support
The mission of the Jewish Home Foundation (JHF) is to
provide the financial wherewithal to all the Jewish Home
Family entities, enabling them to deliver the necessary
health care, educational, and life enriching care and
programming to seniors and elderly in our community.
While this daunting task is accomplished in many ways,
the Foundation’s Boneh Olam Annual Giving Program has
become the cornerstone of the annual fundraising effort,
as the Foundation continues to play a major role in supporting
the critical daily financial needs of these entities.
At its inception in 2003, 19 families contributed a total of
$226,000. In this year, 2012, the program grew to 142
families donating a praiseworthy $1,181,500. Over its nine
year history, the program has provided $8,352,556
in funding.
Boneh Olam — Builders of the World was developed as a
blueprint for supporters of the Homes, enabling donors
to respond to a once-a-year appeal for their support while
eliminating further solicitations throughout the year. This
program is designed with the donor in mind. Participation
in any one of the nine “levels of giving” allows the donor
to participate in each of the Foundation’s five major
fundraising events during the year — Patron Calendar,
Passover/New Year Card Program, Golf and Tennis Outing,
Ad Journal and Gala. Donors are recognized in all Jewish
Home publications, as well as in JHR’s entrance lobby.
These annual once-a-year gifts help position the Foundation
to have the wherewithal to play an integral part in
allowing the Jewish Homes to carry forward the tradition
of honoring our elderly.
We thank each and every one of our “Builders of the World”
for their beneficence, and invite others in the community
to participate in this wonderful opportunity to make a
difference. The program is launched each November for
the fiscal year beginning the following January 1.
