THE HORSEPLAYERS JOURNAL
2 SHOW SOME LEG should get some relief tonight after facing tough winners in her last pair here. She was far back of a quick winner in her latest
but won’t have to contend with that speed this time around. I liked the direction she’s shown since joining trainer Gord Remmen and I’m predicting a
rebounding effort this week. She’s my top choice from a much improved starting post.
6 MISS PRINCESS LEAH is a WEG circuit newcomer that should garner some attention off 3 strong efforts. 2 wins have been achieved so far for
the Perfect Union filly and a 1:57 effort at Hiawatha Horse Park is solid. She’s closed fast in each outing and should find the bigger oval offered here
to suit her abilities. I see her contending and she could make a push for top honors.
4 SO RAVEN continues to knock on the door with 5 straight in the money results for her connections. She’s travelled some tough trips in her last
pair but will continue to be a threat as long as she’s sitting up close. The Lindsey pupil has shown the talent to win at this NW1 level and I have to
keep her on the Pick 4 ticket as she is expected to breakthrough soon.
3 NURSE MOLLY drops back down after facing NW2 foes in her latest where she was a non-factor 10 th . The Baillargeon student posted an upset
against some of these fillies three back and should get her confidence back racing at this level. She draws well and would likely benefit from a
quicker beginning. I will keep her in play for the Superfecta.
WORTH A LOOK
(5) LADY SANTANA earns some class relief this week which will certainly be welcomed by the 1 for 32 career performer. Hebert sent out a pair of
longshot winners on this circuit last month.
(7) CAMPS BAY has yet to earn a cheque through 3 career starts but she’s not been defeated all that much in her last pair. More experience
should help and this group won’t be all that tough to contend against.
(9) KATIES BEACH usually puts in a solid effort and sports several top 3 results this season. A trip will be required from the outside but she is one
to consider adding to the Superfecta.
