GENERAL.<br />
Platoon leaders and below give their orders orally. They avoid<br />
long and complex orders and they develop and use standing operating<br />
procedures.1819 SOPs speed up execution and reduce the need for long<br />
order, but should never set a pattern that can be used by the enemy to<br />
help them. The commander's intent 20 is always given to make sure that<br />
the unit has a clear understanding of the mission.<br />
WARNING ORDER. (คํ<strong>า</strong>สั่งเตือ<strong>น</strong>)<br />
Warning orders give subordinates advance notice of operations that<br />
are to come. This gives them time to prepare. The order should be brief,<br />
but complete. A sample format follows.<br />
1. Situation : (Brief description; for example, the enemy is defending and<br />
our battalion is attacking to the north. Attachments and detachments to<br />
the platoon or squad.)<br />
2. Mission : (Use the restated mission from the mission analysis.)<br />
