Club & Unit The Chief’s Corner Happy New Year to everyone. With 2011 over and 2012 upon us, we look forward to a busy year. We start out with the Annual Meeting on January 3rd and the election of Gary Winter officers. The Potentate’s Reception on January 8th at the Osman Event Center (Lost Spur) from 2:00- 5:00PM. Congratulations to our new Potentate Illustrious Sir Frank Spevak. I would personally like to thank Illustrious Sir John Brockman for having a great year and allowing me to be his Chief of Staff. Thank you again. One Day to Masonry will be on January 21st, 2012 at the Scottish Rite Temple in Minneapolis. The 2012 Winter Carnival Parade will be held on January 28th at 2:00 PM. Oasis again will be at Illustrious Sir Jim Osman Shrine Stated Meeting March 13th 6:30 pm Dinner available beginning at 5:00 pm Osman Shrine Center All Osman Nobles are encouraged to attend this meeting. Meeting starts promptly at 6:30 p.m. Berg’s Twin Cities Magic Store on Seventh Street. We will have a new place to park our cars. This would be at the Church of St. Mary. The church parking lot is located at Wacouta and 8th street. We will have Provost there to show you where to park. The lot is about 1 block north of the Magic Store. Again, do not park in the lot across from the Magic Store. On Saturday, February 4th is the Torchlight Parade starting at 5:30 PM. This Parade is for the Clowns and Directors Staff. Club and Unit Seminar is Saturday February 4th at the Shriners Hospital from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM. Lunch will follow the meeting. Please come to this important meeting. MSA Winter Session is February 9th – 11th in Grand Forks ND. Stated Meeting will be on March 6th at the Osman Event Center. The CIRCUS IS MARCH 28th – APRIL 1ST. The Summer Parades are beginning to be scheduled, and we will share this information with you sometime in February so the Unit can schedule their other parades. It is important that we turn out as many Shriners as possible for our Temple Parades. This is our opportunity to be highly visible in these communities. We will have an Oasis after each Parade. At this time, I would like to introduce the Assistant Chiefs Ray Hobot, Alan Christofk, Jim Awada and Mark Sandstrom.
