There are a variety of international specifications for hot rolled steel plate. Some of the more common specifications and grades, with their chemical and<br />

mechanical properties, are summarised below.<br />

The chemical compositions are all the maximum % content. The mechanical properties relate to 12-20mm thick plates. This data is for comparison<br />

purposes only and should not be used in lieu of the actual specifications, which should always be consulted.<br />
