is let loose on a 450 year-old townhouse in
the Maltese port of Vittoriosa? The answer
is Indulgence Divine. That’s the name of
this utterly distinctive townhouse for two,
recently restored with an injection of colour
and sensuous design.
Bespoke furniture sits comfortably alongside
some decidedly funky “found” pieces, all
contrasting with the venerable stone walls
and exquisite wall hangings. The master
bedroom was once a private chapel, so a
stone arch frames the inner sanctum. You’ll
find the private roof terrace is the perfect
spot to unwind with a glass of wine at dusk
when the heat of the day starts to dissipate.
The capital Valletta is just a short ride by
water taxi and your booking includes a pick-up from the international airport. Our verdict:
if you want a very cool base while you explore Malta, this could be your home away
from home.
Chandigarh welcomes its first 5-star hotel
This northern Indian city has its first luxury hotel with the opening of the JW Marriott

A spa on board a boat – water baths inside a vessel, riding on
water. That’s got to be a novel take on spa locations!
Anchored at the Quays of the Old Port of Montreal, Bota Bota,

Lufthansa flying high
on biofuel
The German flag carrier has launched
the world’s first scheduled flights using
biofuel, commencing a six-month trial
of a 50/50 mix of regular fuel and
biosynthetic kerosene on a four times
daily Airbus A321 service between
Hamburg and Frankfurt.
Originating from a sustainable supply
and production process, the hybrid
fuel can be used in all jet types without
modifications to the aircraft.
