What’s great: We loved the large balcony
off our Emporium Suite – a pleasant space
to enjoy Brisbane’s warm climate. We also
loved that that GHD stylers are available
on loan.
What’s not so great: There’s not much we
didn’t like. However, we thought that the
living area in the Emporium Suite was not
separated or as spacious as we would
have experienced.
It’s hard not to get excited when you arrive at the Emporium Hotel, Brisbane’s hippest
place to stay. Located in a chic precinct, there are stylish boutiques, award-winning
restaurants and specialty food stores only a few steps away. It’s a great place to spend
an indulgent weekend.
The foyer is a feast for the eyes, with bold
reds and golds displayed in contrasting
textures. The signature E motif is eyecatching,
as is the hand-blown red glass
chandelier that has a prominent position
in this luxurious space. The staff appear
to be extremely passionate about working
here, and they definitely add an extra
dimension to your stay.
Everything about the décor is carefully
considered. The use of texture flows
into the studio suites, which are richly
furnished with opulent cushions, large
wall mirrors and subdued lighting. There
are eight pillow options to choose from,
ranging from a Satin Beauty pillow that
relieves the pressure on facial bones to
one that professes to reduce snoring.
The Emporium’s cocktail bar is a
wonderland of antiques from around the
world, like the German chandelier from
a castle in Europe. The cocktail menu
showcases the bartender’s specialties
and classical recipes with a modern
twist. With so many delicious creations
to choose from, you can be forgiven for
making several visits during your stay.
When it’s time to work off those surplus
calories, the hotel caters to your needs
with a high-tech gym and sauna. And if
you need a day’s rest from shopping or
exploring in the city, the 15m rooftop
saltwater pool is the perfect place to relax
and chill.
The Emporium Hotel is sophisticated,
elegant and leading edge. The creators
have thought long and hard about how
to exceed their guests’ expectations, and
these little touches definitely make your
stay memorable.
