On December 9, 2011
Blanchet hosted its first
annual holiday party for families
living in the East Lancaster
neighborhood, where Blanchet
is located. The party was part
of Blanchet’s pledge to “bring
hope” to others through service
and outreach projects during the
year.
The East Lancaster
Neighborhood Area Holiday
Party was a collaborative
outreach effort of the East
Lancaster Neighborhood
Partnership including Blanchet
Catholic School, Swegle
Elementary School, Swegle
Boys & Girls Club, A.C. Gilbert’s
Discovery Village, Calvary
Chapel, City of Salem, the
Christian Center of Salem, the
Salem Police Department and
several others. Nearly 500
guests attended and enjoyed
dinner, holiday activities, crafts
