Legacy Alumni<br />
The Gathering<br />
Over 500 alumni and<br />
friends of Sacred Heart<br />
Academy and Serra Catholic<br />
High School attended an all-year<br />
reunion held at Blanchet on<br />
August 6, 2011. Sacred Heart<br />
Academy closed its doors in<br />
1984 and Serra Catholic in 1969.<br />
Guests traveled from all<br />
across the U.S. to attend “The<br />
Gathering” and enjoyed sharing<br />
memories of their schools,<br />
looking at memorabilia and<br />
dancing to the music performed<br />
by “The Live 5,” a popular Salem<br />
rock-n-roll band that formed out<br />
of Serra Catholic.<br />
Blanchet’s Legacy Alumni<br />
Committee has worked tirelessly<br />
to reconnect alumni of Sacred<br />
Heart and Serra Catholic and<br />
introduce them to Blanchet<br />
~ “a new place to call home.”<br />
The Committee was honored<br />
during Blanchet’s Founders Day<br />
event as the recipient of the<br />
<strong>2012</strong> <strong>President’s</strong> Award for their<br />
tremendous support of Blanchet<br />
Catholic School.<br />
