Participation
Update:
Participation Training:
In the BB we believe very much in the
everyday participation of young people
and children in decision making, and
we particularly want to look at how we
can work in new ways to do this in
local groups. This training course is
designed to enable leaders to share
good ideas and to develop awareness
and knowledge of how to use
participation effectively in their
companies. By attending you will . . .
Understand what is really meant by
“participation” at company, battalion
and national levels
Become a champion of participative
working by understanding why it is the
key to good youth work, and
Become confident in how to use
participation techniques and methods
in your BB work
If you are committed to involving
young people in shaping the future of
your company or are just curious to
hear more, then you would be very
welcome to come to this training
event. We promise it will be fun,
informative and will definitely help you
to transform the way you work with
young people!
Impact Gap Year:
Impact is a Gap Year opportunity
brought to you by the BB in
partnership with Time For God (TFG).
If you’re over 18 have time on your
hands and want more than a 9-5 job or
university, then we’ll help you live your
faith, travel, and make a difference in
the BB. This includes the possibility of
spending a month in Kenya, and the
rest of the year spent working in the BB
at National, District, Battalion and
company level in the UK. The Gap Year
is not a year of slave labour, but a wide
ranging experience that might just
change your life! Every participant will
be fully supported and trained, but also
given plenty of opportunity to develop
their own ideas. Anyone who might be
interested in this opportunity please
lookout for more information on the
BB website or contact Phil Lund (BB:
UK Participation Worker) for more
information on 01213335868 or at
