Treasure Trail<br />
Junior Section members of Edinburgh,<br />
Leith & District Battalion took part in a<br />
treasure trail last Autumn through the<br />
Hermitage of Braid in south Edinburgh.<br />
Boys followed the route with clues and<br />
questions to test their observation etc<br />
and at the end various physical tasks<br />
were required. Passers by were given<br />
flyers about the BB!<br />
Remembrance Sunday<br />
The 1 st Larbert, 4 th Londonderry, 3 rd Carrickfergus and 1 st Knocknamuckley<br />
Companies represented The Boys’ Brigade at <strong>this</strong> year’s Remembrance Ceremony<br />
at the Cenotaph in Whitehall, London. The Boys’ Brigade Contingent was<br />
amongst other Youth Organisations represented including The Girls’ Brigade that<br />
marched past the cenotaph and laid a wreath during the National Service of<br />
Remembrance.<br />
BB Canoe Club<br />
The annual Championships of the BB Canoe Club were held last autumn on the<br />
banks of the River Wye in Herefordshire. Glorious sunshine added to great fun<br />
and fellowship enjoyed by 25 young people who took part. The overall champion<br />
was Michael Donaldson of 1 st Rugby Company. Full results can be found on the<br />

site. Details of various training and fun events can also be found on the website<br />
and those who have an interest in <strong>this</strong> activity are welcome to join the Club.<br />
Captain retires<br />
Mike Morey has served the 3 rd Warley<br />
Company at Warley Baptist Church for<br />
50 years, 24 as Captain. He started in<br />
the Life Boys and worked his way<br />
through the ranks. He was treated to a<br />
surprise party which included a ‘This is<br />
Your Life’ tribute. Mike has inspired<br />
many boys and officers during his long<br />
and faithful service and will be missed<br />
by company members.<br />
