At the 16 th PA<br />

Camp, boys can<br />

look forward to<br />

having 10 days<br />

(3—10 Jan 2008) of intensive<br />

fun at picturesque Phillip Island in<br />

Victoria. It also boasts one of the<br />

worlds premier motor racing circuits.<br />

Phillip Island also offers some of the<br />

best surf beaches in Australia. The<br />

campsite is awesome with giant<br />

swings, a high-ropes course, in-ground<br />

swimming pools and lots lots more.<br />

You can be certain that blokarting,<br />

four-wheel driving, caving, surfing and<br />

other adventures will be on the<br />

programme list. The camp is open to<br />

all Boys who turn 12 or older in 2008.<br />

Cost is $A 750 per camper. Be assured<br />

that it will be worth every dollar !<br />

Finland<br />

NK international youth camp 2007<br />

An international camp for young<br />

adults (aged 17/18+) in Pöyhölä<br />

training centre, The programme will<br />

be both in Finnish and English.<br />

The camp will be held from the 23<br />

to the 26 August 2007 and will be<br />

based around the theme of “Build<br />

Peace!”. For more information<br />

News from…<br />

Congo<br />

Due to the war membership of the<br />

Youth of Living Water is at a stand still,<br />

however 16 Units are in active<br />

operation and are ministering to over<br />

2000 youth. To fight poverty the<br />

organisation in cooperation with the<br />

Anglican Office of Development is<br />

working on a skills training programme<br />

where 18 young people are trained over<br />

a 9 month period in subjects such as<br />

carpentry, tailoring and agriculture.<br />

Swaziland<br />

The Christian Boys’ and Girls Brigade<br />

in Swaziland has recently established a<br />

band. This follows attending the<br />

PTK will organise their big national<br />

camp for boys and girls (10–15 years<br />

of age) in Partaharju from the 25 to<br />

the 30 July next year.<br />

The name and the theme is<br />

“Heroes”. The camp will gather<br />

around 2500 participants. For more<br />

<strong>In</strong>ternational Girls’ Brigade Fonomarae<br />

in Scotland. A local Company in the UK<br />

donated instruments. A member of the<br />

Prisons National Band is training<br />

those who are ready to participate and<br />

become members of the Brigade team.<br />

Their first performance will be held at<br />

the Somholo Festival of Praise which is<br />

celebrated in July each year and is<br />

attended by their Majesties the King<br />

and Queen Mother<br />

St Maarten<br />

St. Maarten in the SE Caribbean advise<br />

they will be celebrating 45 years of BB<br />

work in 2008. To <strong>this</strong> end The Eastern<br />

& Southern Caribbean Regional<br />

Fellowship will be having a camp from<br />

19—28 July 2008 in St. Maarten to<br />

celebrate <strong>this</strong> milestone. For more<br />

• For the war torn Democratic Republic of Congo, its children and the<br />

ministry of BB there. Specifically for the children that are attracted to<br />

enter the rebel movement.<br />

• For leadership training specifically in Burundi, Kenya, Rwanda, The SE<br />

Caribbean and Swaziland where GF is committed to supporting the<br />

upskilling of leaders and Officers.<br />

• The street ministry of Rev David Nzungize the BB Coordinator in<br />

Rwanda.<br />

• The camping ministry of our members around the world and its value in<br />

developing young people personally, socially and spiritually.<br />

• For the new Secretariat of the European Fellowship as they take on their<br />

new role and develop the vision of the region.<br />

• For growing interest, support and effectiveness of youth ministry<br />

throughout the world.<br />

• For the children in Swaziland who suffer from living in a country with the<br />

highest HIV/AIDs infection per population in Africa.<br />
