Council
2007
2007 is the turn of the England
Region to host Brigade Council
in the City of Bradford from 31 st
August – 2 nd September. The
main meeting of Council will be
at Bradford Cathedral, an old
building with a modern,
multipurpose interior. Friday
evening will start with meeting
old and new friends at a civic
reception in Bradford City Hall.
On Saturday the Annual Council
meeting will be held at the
Cathedral and in the evening
‘Innovate Skelmanthorpe Band’
will put on a concert. Sunday
worship will be at the Cathedral
when the Bishop of Bradford will
be preaching.
Call all Young Leaders …..
Brigade Council 2007 is running
an U26 Young Leaders’ event
arranged alongside the Council
Weekend. The Young Leaders fee
includes the Brigade Council
registration fee, accommodation
in a twin bedded room, breakfast
on both Saturday and Sunday
and Saturday Lunch plus other
evening social activities.

B-link:
We hope by now you have seen B-link the new magazine for young people
aged between 16 and 25 in the BB (http://www.b-link.org.uk). The magazine
seeks to:
• Advertise opportunities for young people to get involved in the BB;
• Allow young people to contribute their ideas to the BB;
• Enable young people throughout the organisation to keep in contact;
• Highlight new local initiatives and share practice throughout the BB
However most importantly, the magazine is meant to be fun and inspiring.
Please take the time to read B-link to find out more. We have sent the first
edition to all registered leaders under-26, and one copy has been sent to
every company through the company mailing.
However we are aware that there are many who fall outside of this category.
Furthermore we need to acquire more
funding to secure the future of the
magazine. Consequently we will continue
to send B-link out to all registered leaders
under-26 and through the company
mailing, but we are also offering the
opportunity for Battalions/ Districts to
purchase copies of the magazine and
then distribute them in their areas as
they see fit.
We would love to see every young
person aged between 16 and 25
receiving and contributing to B-link.
The cost of the magazine is £0.40
per magazine (+ P&P), which is the
equivalent of a mars bar and we
hope you agree good value for
money for the quality of the
magazine.
However we are offering the
chance for you to buy a session long
subscription to B-link, which includes three editions
throughout the BB year for £1 per person (+ P&P). We will then send
you the copies directly to distribute.
We hope you will consider purchasing B-link for all the seniors in your area.
