Canta al mar 2015 – Festival Coral Internacional October 21 – 25, 2015 | Calella/Barcelona, Spain Due to the great enthusiasm among the choral scene regarding the new festival Canta al mar 2012 INTERKULTUR will ensure that Calella will become the meeting place for choirs from all over the world on a yearly basis. Thus also in 2015 from Oct. 21 to 25. In general applies that the fantastic metropolis Barcelona will be an attractive part of this festival. Either as venue for the competition and friendship concerts or simply as destination for a day trip. 3.5 kilometres of sandy beach as well as its location directly at the Mediterranean Sea and close to Barcelona make Calella a popular European travel destination. During the choir festival numerous friendship concerts will take place in the contemplative old town with its Catalan flair. All concert and competition venues as well as accommodations and other event locations in Calella are situated within walking distance. Thus attending concerts and other events can be combined perfectly with a placid stroll through the historic old town. Here choirs will meet, celebrate and sing together and get to know other nations and their traditions. Mixed, male, female, children’s and youth choirs can participate in the competition in established categories and different levels of difficulty. Special attention is given to the categories “Folklore“ and “Pop“. No category will require compulsory pieces so that all participating choirs can choose an appropriate repertoire and perform in front of the jury without major restrictions. Tony Margeta, nacido en 1972, cursó sus<br />

estudios music<strong>al</strong>es y el Máster de Dirección<br />

Cor<strong>al</strong> en la Academia de Música y Arte<br />

Dramático de la Universidad de Gotemburgo.<br />

Allí recibió enseñanzas de profesores<br />

de gran renombre, t<strong>al</strong>es como Jan Yngwe y<br />

Gunnar Ericsson. Cuenta con una dilatada<br />

experiencia en el mundo de la música cor<strong>al</strong><br />

gracias a su colaboración con diversos coros<br />

en Suecia. En octubre de 2008, obtuvo una<br />

beca de la fundación Madeleine Uggla por<br />

los considerables esfuerzos y trabajo re<strong>al</strong>izados<br />

con los coros suecos. Entre los años<br />

2010 y 2012, fue director titular de la Asociación<br />

Cor<strong>al</strong> Sueca.<br />

En el período comprendido entre 2004 y<br />

<strong>2015</strong>, trabajó como director orquest<strong>al</strong> y artístico<br />

del coro mixto “F<strong>al</strong>u Kam<strong>mar</strong>kör”, con<br />

el que ganó varias competiciones cor<strong>al</strong>es, t<strong>al</strong>es<br />

como el “Grieg Grand Prix” en Noruega y<br />

el “Grand Prix” en Bad Krozingen.<br />

Tony Margeta es el director orquest<strong>al</strong> y artístico<br />

del coro femenino “La Cappella” desde<br />

mayo de 2014. También trabaja como<br />

instructor cor<strong>al</strong> y profesor de música en la<br />

famosa escuela music<strong>al</strong> “Adolf Fredrik” de<br />

Estocolmo.<br />

Tony Margeta, born in 1972, received a Music<br />

exam and Master of Choir conducting<br />

from Academy of Music and Drama at the<br />

University of Gothenburg with renowned<br />

teachers such as Jan Yngwe and Gunnar<br />

Ericsson. He has extensive experience of chor<strong>al</strong><br />

music while working with sever<strong>al</strong> choirs<br />

in Sweden. In October 2008 he was awarded<br />

a scholarship from the Madeleine Uggla<br />

foundation for considerable efforts in his<br />

work with Swedish choirs. From 2010-2012<br />

he was appointed Princip<strong>al</strong> Conductor of the<br />

Nation<strong>al</strong> Swedish Chor<strong>al</strong> Association.<br />

During 2004-<strong>2015</strong> he was the conductor<br />

and artistic leader of the mixed choir, F<strong>al</strong>u<br />

Kam<strong>mar</strong>kör, with whom he won sever<strong>al</strong><br />

choir competitions such as Grieg Grand Prix<br />

in Norway and Grand Prix in Bad Krozingen.<br />

Tony Margeta is the conductor and artistic<br />

leader of the fem<strong>al</strong>e choir La Cappella since<br />

May 2014. He <strong>al</strong>so works as chor<strong>al</strong> instructor<br />

and music teacher at the renowned Adolf<br />

Fredrik´s Music School in Stockholm.
