General Membership
Terms and Conditions
All AANT Members are bound by the Rules of the
Association and Regulations, as amended from time to
time, and by any specific terms and conditions imposed
under these Rules. Copies of the Rules can be obtained

The following Terms & Conditions provide further guidance
regarding the provision of AANT services and application
of various benefits.
Nature of Road Services
AANT Road Service is a vehicle breakdown service
aimed at providing members with timely assistance in
the event of an unexpected mechanical or electrical fault/
failure of the vehicle/towed unit. You (the member) must
be the driver of the vehicle at the time of the breakdown
and must be present upon arrival of the AANT Service
Provider to receive Road Service.

The service is aimed at diagnosing the fault, and where
possible, effecting a safe repair at the roadside. The
extent of a minor repair able to be undertaken at the
roadside is limited to circumstances where available
parts and hand tools can be used to complete the work
in a reasonable period of time. The service provider
in attendance will make such a determination. Where
mobilising the vehicle/towed unit is not possible, a
tow may be provided within the member’s level of
membership entitlement.

AANT Membership does not cover you for Road Service
or towing of your accident-damaged vehicle/towed unit.
No refund policy
■■
AANT Membership entrance and subscription fees
are non-refundable, with any unused proportion of the
subscription forfeited upon cancellation of membership.
Pro-rata refunds are not available.

Upon written request, any unexpired or unused
standard portion of a membership subscription, at the
date of cancellation, may be transferred to another
current AANT Member.
Unattended vehicles

AANT Road Service, including towing, is not available to
unattended vehicles.

Should a second call-out be required due to the
vehicle being initially unattended, the member will
be charged a fee.
Defected vehicle
■■
Members driving vehicles, which have been defected
by the Police and/or authorised Government Officer, are
only entitled to AANT Road Service provided that the
breakdown is not related to the reason for the defect.

Free towing is not available if the defect is the reason for
the tow.
Upgrade policy
If you upgrade your level of membership, the entire
membership subscription fee applicable to that upgraded
level of membership will be payable, and any unused or
unexpired portion of your previous membership class will
be credited at renewal if you elect to continue with Plus/
Premium level of membership.
Refusal of service
Any circumstance or incident where a member’s verbal or
physical conduct puts at risk the health, safety or well-being
of an AANT employee or contractor, or jeopardises their
ability to safely carry out their responsibilities may result
in the immediate suspension of access to AANT services
under that membership. Such incidents will be formally
investigated, with the member being provided with an
opportunity to explain their actions.
