The Extended Tow benefit is only available at the
time of the breakdown.
Towing is limited to mechanical or electrical
breakdowns only.
AANT does not cover any after accident towing costs or
any repairs – accident, mechanical, electrical
or otherwise.
Towing of caravans and trailers

If you are towing a caravan, trailer, horse float or similar
and your vehicle breaks down AANT will tow your
vehicle and the towed unit (Refer metropolitan/country
towing on page 7). If your vehicle requires further
recovery to your home or destination the towed unit will
not be eligible.

Any vehicle/towed unit exceeding 2 tonnes and up
to 4 tonnes are covered to a maximum of $220
per annum.
Any recreational mobile home exceeding 4 tonnes is
covered to a maximum of $220 per annum.
Heavy or oversize vehicles and/or special
towing equipment

Where your vehicle or caravan, trailer or recreational
mobile home can’t be towed under the normal towing
limitations, we will arrange and contribute up to $220
per annum towards towing costs. Normal towing
limitations apply to the provision of this benefit and, with
the exception of recreational mobile homes, are limited
to 4 tonnes.
Cost in excess of $220 must be paid to the service
provider by the member at the time of the tow.
Bogged vehicles are not covered.
Second tow
A second tow up to 20 km will only be provided within
14 days following the provision of a first tow after Road
Service and/or Vehicle Recovery, where your vehicle
cannot be towed to your nominated repairer in the first
instance for the vehicle only.
Excess distance costs above 20 km must be paid
to the service provider by the member at the time
of the tow.
Taxi
AANT will pay for Taxi Service up to $55 per annum only
immediately after the provision of Road Service and your
vehicle is towed from where the breakdown occurred.
This service is subject to local availability.
Battery replacement.
Should you purchase an AANT branded battery, you will
receive an $11 discount.
Lockout/locksmiths services
A Locksmith Subsidy of $165 is available when a
locksmith attendance is required due to your vehicle
being disabled. The subsidy contributes to the call-out
cost and does not extend to the replacement of parts or
labour costs. Alternatively, you will be offered a tow, using
standard towing equipment, within the towing limitations
of your membership entitlement.
Locksmith Subsidy is not available for vehicles that have
been disabled due to accident, vandalism or stolen.
Keyring register
You will receive an individually numbered keyring, which
will be recorded on our database. Should you lose your
keys and they are returned to AANT, we will contact you
to arrange suitable collection.
Secure key storage
You have the opportunity to store a set of car and/or
house keys in our Grade A1 security area. We will arrange
and pay up to $55 (per incident) for courier service to get
your keys to you anywhere in Australia.
24 Hour accident help line
Following an accident, 24 hour telephone assistance
and advice is available to you anywhere in Australia, with
assistance in relaying urgent messages to your family.
