Changing membership details

Only the named member or a person authorised by the
named member may request a change in membership
details.
■■
Certain changes in member personal details may
require the lodgment of documented proof prior
to actioning by AANT.
Cancellation of membership
■■
A member may cancel their membership at any time by
providing either verbal or written notification to AANT,
provided both the individual making the request and
the membership concerned can be positively verified.
Cancellation of membership cannot be backdated.
Voting rights
■■
Although there are various classes of AANT
Membership, only financial Full and Life Members of
AANT have the right to vote in Council Elections and at
meetings of the Association.
Personal information use and disclosure

AANT abides by the National Privacy Principles within
the Privacy Act (as amended).

Taxi Membership
Taxi Membership entitles the nominated taxi to eight
call-outs for Road Service and up to 20 km ‘free’ towing
(per call-out) in the metropolitan area and up to 100 km
(200 km round trip) back to the nearest available AANT
Country Service Depot in country areas. Excess distance
costs must be paid by the member at the time of the
service/tow.
Additional Taxi benefits are:

Should you purchase an AANT branded battery, you will
receive an $11 discount.

If a locksmith attendance should be required due to
your vehicle being disabled, we will contribute $38.50
towards the call-out cost. This subsidy does not extend
to the replacement of parts.

Personal Membership cannot be used to obtain service
on a taxi. A Taxi Membership card must be produced to
receive Road Service.
Reciprocal services
Members of AANT have access to Road Service
throughout Australia through affiliated motoring
organisations. Service may be provided only up to
the limit of that organisation’s standard membership
entitlements. You may be required to pay for additional
services, including excess kilometre towing for vehicle
and/or towed unit. You will need to submit receipts to
enable AANT to process a possible refund.
