The Personnel Department serviced a number of programs for City Employees: Provided customer support for benefits: Health care, Dental care, Vision care, Prescription Drug Coverage, Life Insurance Coverage, Disability Coverage, and the Dependent Care Reimbursement Program Administered services to employees impacted by violence, threats, and trauma in the workplace by providing counseling, interventions, and training, including a new online training course in Preventing Workplace Violence Provided an Online Training Academy with both mandatory courses and a variety of other courses designed to promote a culture of continuous learning and personal development Facilitated career growth by providing the infrastructure to hire, promote and transfer employees within the City Offered Rideshare participants reimbursement/subsidies for vanpool, bike/walk to work, carpool programs, and other transit programs Conducted Ergonomic evaluations of employee workstations to prevent injuries from occurring Prepared and trained employees on the necessary skills to be a Disaster Service Worker (DSW) Personnel Services to City Employees
