Over the nine weeks various aspects of oil and<br />

acrylic painting will be covered. The emphasis will<br />

be on exciting and experimental techniques. The<br />

course is structured with topics and themes set<br />

each week. A clothed model will be used for two<br />

weeks giving students the opportunity to tackle<br />

portraits and figures. All abilities welcome.<br />

A friendly, relaxed and informal class that looks at<br />

art history finding out how art masters developed<br />

their work, how they used colour, form and<br />

composition. We look at one movement or period,<br />

then delve into each artist, and look at how we can<br />

put this into practice.<br />

We look at linocut and print making. This class will<br />

introduce the basic skills of linocut from designing<br />

your image to cutting your block and printing. In<br />

addition you will have the opportunity to<br />

experiment with mark making, colour and collage.<br />

There will be an additional cost of £10 for<br />

materials payable to the tutor.<br />

An improver’s watercolour class aimed at<br />

introducing a more structured method of working,<br />

Over the nine weeks a series of portraits will be<br />

completed. Likeness, profiles and principles of<br />

proportions will be covered. Water-soluble pencils<br />

will be covered and other media such as acrylic and<br />

mixed media will be looked at. All abilities<br />
