day is for absolute beginners. Don’t have an
instrument? No problem, we supply all equipment.
Can’t read music? No problem, we show you step
by step how to begin to play these wonderful
instruments. This one day workshop is led by an
experienced Saxophonist Ian Hill and is designed to
introduce you to the wonderful world of the
saxophone. It’s about trying something different,
having fun, working together and achieving new
goals. Maximum 8 students.

Come and have a go at speaking in Spanish. At the
end of the day you´ll be able to introduce yourself,
buy drinks and snacks, ask for and give directions,
inquire opening and closing time, buy food at the
market and much more. This is a conversational
dayschool with some notetaking. I am sure you
would like to continue studying Spanish after this

Writing for children is a joy! And connecting with
them through your books is immensely satisfying.
This course, taught by a prize-winning author, will
take you through each of the main fields of writing
for children – picture books, Middle Grade, Teen
and Young Adult. You will learn the requirements
of each level and techniques for catching and
maintaining the attention of young readers. There
will be practical exercises and advice applicable to
writing for any age group. Finally, there will be
advice on how to prepare your book for publication
and how to pitch to agents and publishers.

interactive workshop. Using the art of storytelling,
you will develop the skills of - listening well –
communicating with confidence and clarity –
telling stories.

STOP-MOTION ANIMATION
FOR BEGINNERS
Saturday 5 March 10.00 am – 4.00 pm
Tutor: Lizzie Campbell £24, £6
Learn how to construct a plasticine model with
guidance from a professional clay artist! This
workshop will also guide you through the basics of
creating your very own stop-motion animation.
Participants are encouraged to bring along their
own iPad (with prior installation of the ‘Animate
It!’ App) or a digital SLR camera for animating.
Cost for materials £5.00 payable to the tutor on
the day.

new places with your writing. Whether you are
interested in writing memoir, fiction or poetry, we
will supply ideas and prompts to help you explore
different perspectives and unusual avenues in your
writing. This day school is for beginners who are
looking for a way into writing, and for more
experienced writers hoping to develop their work.
