In addition to a GED Preparation Class, a Basic Skills Class will be held at Pen Argyl
and Nazareth High Schools to improve reading, math, and writing skills.
THE FIRST WEEK OF CLASS IS ORIENTATION - STUDENTS MUST ATTEND BOTH DAYS.
If a student cannot attend both days, they must wait until the next class session
beginning in January 2015. Adults who attend class, complete requirements
and pass the GED will receive an equivalency High School Diploma.

Inaugural Pink Heels
Dash Fancy Race
For Fierce Women
Easton, PA-The inaugural Pink Heels Dash has already
attracted hundreds of participants. The event will
take place on Saturday, October 18th, in an effort
to raise money for Pink Heals Slate Belt PA chapter,
a non-profit organization—standing by their motto,
“Supporting women with cancer and their families,
not a cause”. The event will be held on Easton's North
Third Street and will turn into a fundraising
fun-house unlike any other in the Lehigh Valley.
Women, men and children alike will be racing down
the street in their finest high-heels, featuring a 50-
yard Kid’s Fun Dash, and a 50-yard Dash/Walk for the
adults. Attendees can enjoy food and craft vendors,
music, media photos with Margaret the pink fire truck,
and an amazing raffle with donations spanning across
the Lehigh Valley.
Five, woman-owned businesses, Crayton’s Creations,
Skinterest Skin Care Boutique, Kudu Creative, Time
Photo Studios and Malo Consultancy are engineering
the Pink Heel Dash event. Wendy Jamison said,
“Everyone has been struck by the ugliness of cancer
in someway. This is our way to give back to our
community that supports us.”
Pink Heals is a National not-for-profit organization
focused on community. A group of fire fighters, police
officers, local government officials and volunteers that
support women and their families battling all types of
cancers. They keep the money here in the community
to help pay cost of living expenses. Pink Heals Slate
Belt President, John Rigione says, “We bring love and
hope to our community—the last thing a woman fighting
cancer should worry about is putting oil in her heating
tank or paying for life saving meds,” explains Rigione.
