Sailing Champ
Rishab Nayar of Grade 10 won the Toppers Trophy in the Gold Fleet and in the Laser 4.7
category he won the Silver Medal and the Youngest Sailor Trophy at the seventh annual
Deloitte Monsoon Regatta organised by the Yacht Club of Hyderabad in Hussain Sagar
Lake.
In the 30th Laser Sailing Championship organised by the Laser Class Association of
India , the EME Sailing Association, Secunderabad Club and the the Sports Authority
of Telangana State under the aegis of Yachting Association of India, he secured Gold for
Laser 4.7 under 16 and Silver in the Laser 4.7 Open Category. The competition attracted
153 sailors across the Laser Category and various sport dignitaries to encourage and
motivate the sailors. Sania Mirza gave away Rishab an award for securing first position
on racing day 2.
Both the events were covered extensively by the National and local media.
We congratulate Rishab for his dedication, commitment and discipline to emerge as a
champion!
