What’s new with the District Board?<br />
Now that all of the Spring Zone Rallies have past, nearly every division<br />
has elected their 2016-2017 lieutenant governors. Congratulations<br />
and thank you to all elected! The Florida District wouldn’t be<br />
where it is today without leaders like you.<br />
A Year in Review<br />
Over the summer, Key Clubbers from across the state travelled to Indianapolis<br />
for the Key Club International Convention (ICON). There,<br />
they celebrated Kiwanis International’s 100th Anniversary, and Florida’s<br />
own Ian MacDonald was elected to International Trustee. The<br />
District Board held several Board meetings, where they updated<br />
each other and completed much of their committee work. The<br />
#BeTheKey campaign kicked off and has been a huge success; the<br />
key cutouts are now circulating the District. Also, the three District<br />
Large Scale Service Projects (DLSSPs) were huge successes! Below is<br />
a picture of the grasses that attendees planted at the Lauderdale<br />
by the Sea DLSSP, as well as a photo from ICON. These are some of<br />
the highlights– thank you all for a wonderful year!<br />
