Nishikant Kamat
Nishikant Kamat has been born in Malvan,
Maharashtra and worked initially in Marathi films.
He slowly made his moves to Bollywood and
ended up as a critically acclaimed director in
Indian cinema.
His debut film, Dombivali Fast
earned him accolades in Marathi
Cinema, as it went on to become
the biggest Marathi film of the
year. He remade his film, in Tamil
with R. Madhavan in the lead as
Evano Oruvan, which opened to
rave reviews.He has also acted in
Marathi film Saatchya aat gharat.
Nishikant Kamat’s Bollywood
debut project is based upon the
2006 Mumbai Bombings, titled,
Mumbai Meri Jaan, which is filmed
in Hindi. The actor has played a
negative role in the movie Rocky
Handsome. His films include
Hava Aney Dey, Saatchya Aat
Gharat, Dombivali Fast, Evano
Oruvan, Mumbai Meri Jaan,
404 Error Not Found, Force, Lai
Bhaari, Drishyam and Rocky
Handsome.
Nishikant Kamat won National
award for his directorial skills
for the Marathi movie Dombivali
in 2006. He has now come up
with Rocky Handsome and he
teamed up with John Abraham
