• <strong>Peter</strong> was one of three closest to Jesus who were <strong>Peter</strong>, James<br />
and John. This was the special group. <strong>Peter</strong> was one of the three<br />
Apostles (with James and John) who were with Christ on certain<br />
special occasions. Apostle Paul says: " James, Cephas, and<br />
John, who seemed to be pillars, ....." (Gal. 2:9).<br />
• These three were with Jesus on very special occasions:<br />
o the raising of the daughter of Jairus from the dead (Mark<br />
5:37; Luke 8:51); The gospel of Mark says about that:<br />
"And He permitted no one to follow Him except <strong>Peter</strong>,<br />
James, and John the brother of James" (Mark 5:37).<br />
o the Transfiguration of Christ (Matthew 17:1; Mark 9:1;<br />
