A Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) of at least 2.0, with a CGPA of at<br />
least 2.0 in BUS/ECO/BUS courses combined<br />
Bachelor of Arts: Christian Studies<br />

The Christian Studies programs enable students to become<br />
life-long agents of transformative change in the world. In<br />
the program, students not only study and experience the<br />
Christian faith, but also reflect upon the relevance of this<br />
faith for their own lives and the world in which they live.<br />
All students take a core of foundational courses in Bible,<br />
Christian Theology and History, and Christian Spirituality.<br />
After the completion of 30 credits, students focus on one<br />
of these three streams enabling further study of and<br />
reflection upon various aspects of their chosen area.<br />
Finally, a significant part of the program is the opportunity<br />
for students to participate in a travel study venture ‘Down<br />
Ancient Paths’ which provides life-changing exposure to<br />
biblical landscapes and ancient Christian traditions.<br />

Profile of the Graduating Student<br />
The graduating student will develop<br />
further knowledge of the literature of Scripture<br />
and its historical backgrounds;<br />
a deeper understanding of the major historical<br />
and theological Christian traditions;<br />
a heightened appreciation for the multi-faceted<br />
dimensions of Christian spirituality;<br />
the ability to determine the relevance of the<br />
Christian faith in order to engage the world in<br />
redemptive activity.<br />
Career and Education Paths<br />
The graduating student will<br />
have a solid foundation for living out the<br />
Christian faith in professional vocations such as<br />
law, medicine, and education;<br />
be prepared to work in para-church<br />
organizations, non-governmental organizations,<br />
or some church ministry positions;<br />
be able to pursue graduate studies in theology,<br />
church history, or biblical studies at a seminary<br />
or university. Students who wish to pursue<br />
further Christian studies at the graduate level<br />
need to complete the 4-yr major and consult<br />
with the Program Chair early in their studies.<br />
