They are not men whose hearts remain within themselves,
they are not men whose love is selfish or whose
dedication is false. They have given of themselves for
forty years, given more than we deserve. They have
swung the bats and swum the waves; they exhibit classic
lives and employ classic lines. These are not men, they
are giants. They are friends whose lives are totally spent
for us, to whom we cannot fully express our gratitude.
We the class of 1971 are most grateful, and wish to
dedicate this forty-third volume of THE RAMKIN to
Mr. Albert T. Kirchner and Mr. John W. Lyttle for
service beyond the call of duty.
