ST. MARY'S
Playing on a wet field, the Prep offense fumbled the
ball away on several key plays Seniors and Juniors,
some in key positions, comprised the starters. This
inexperience and lack of preparation may have
caused the 200 yards the Prep lost in penalties.
YONKERS
Once again playing on a muddy field, the Prep put it
all together. A good ground game for Biaggi and
Smith along with powerful blocking by the offensive
line gave the Prep a potent offense. Overall
outstanding defensive play allowed Yonkers to score
only once, late in the game
MT. ST. MICHAEL
A night game, against the Preps first CHSAA
opponent Another strong running game for Biaggi
and Smith (270 yards) was nullified by fumbles. The
defense was strong, twice holding Mount on goals
line stands
LINCOLN
In hope of bettering their 1-2 record, the Rams were
psyched for this one However, four days of rain prior
to the game made for impossible field conditions
Both offenses were stuck in the mud and neither
team was able to score a point
BLESSED SACRAMENT
The first league game (M F.L ) for the Rams. The
Rams took a 7-6 lead going into the last quarter This
was attributed to a very strong Ram defense, which
blocked a Blessed Sacrament punt, leading to the
Ram's only touchdown However, an interception led
to a late Blessed Sacrament score which snatched
the victory from the Rams
ST. AGNES
A must-win game for the Rams Both the offense and
defense were hungry for a win An overall outstanding
defense gave the Rams their second shutout of
the season The offense displayed a strong running
and passing attack that helped to roll over the Stags
LA SALLE
A crunching victory for the Prep The Ram's defense
stopped La Salle cold all game. The offense was awesome,
gaining over 500 yards Hurley and Corcoran
connected often and Chris Smith carried for a nearrecord
254 yards A good preparation for the Xavier
game
ROSLYN
A highly emotional game for Roslyn Another strong
game for the defense held Roslyn to just six points
Yet the Rams needed a late fourth quarter drive to
cap the 13-6 victory
XAVIER
High emotions characterized this year's Thanksgiving
Day game The Rams drove up and down against
Xavier; however, field conditions prevented any sustained
drives. Thus the Rams had to settle for their
second scoreless tie of the season.
