Maroon Key Grows
The Order of the Maroon Key is an organization
honoring leadership in Fordham Prep students.
Juniors and seniors are elected by a committee
composed of four teachers and four students who
are Maroon Key members. Their decision is based
on the candidate's application, optional interview,
and the recommendations of the teachers and fellow
students. The committee seeks to recognize
accomplishments in activities, academics, and service
to school and community. The Maroon Key
member is not someone who has a large following,
but rather someone whose example should inspire
others. It is always difficultto select new members
because there are so many deserving candidates.
The primary purpose of the Maroon Key is accomplished
through the members' caring, helping, and
serving other people.
