Calling all thespians and aspiring singers!<br />
Riverside Children’s Theatre (RCT) is<br />
accepting registrations for its 3rd annual<br />
Theater and Music Summer Camps! Riverside<br />
Children’s Theatre, a non-profit organization,<br />
is the leading children’s theater in Riverside<br />
County with an award-winning performing<br />
arts school and performance troupe.<br />
RCT has won awards from the Inland<br />
Theater League and the Press Enterprise. For<br />
59 years, RCT has introduced thousands of<br />
children from Riverside and surrounding<br />
communities to the magical world of theater.<br />
Through participation in drama instruction<br />
and performance opportunities both on and<br />
off the stage, RCT is instilling a life-long love<br />
of the performing arts in the hearts of our<br />
youth.<br />
RCT is offering two<br />
different Theater Camps and a Music Camp<br />
this year. Introduction to Theater Camp will<br />
be held from June 20 to 24, 9am to 4pm.<br />
This camp will teach acting terminology, the<br />
basics of improvisation, understanding stage<br />
directions, the basics of auditioning, stage<br />
makeup and set design.<br />
Campers will prepare and<br />
perform a scripted scene<br />
and a monologue in a<br />
performance for parents<br />
on the last day of camp.<br />
This camp is for kids between<br />
8 and 17 years old.<br />
Advanced Theater<br />
Camp will be held from<br />
June 27 to July 1st, 9am<br />
to 4pm. In this camp students<br />
will work on improvisation,<br />
the elements of<br />
drama, sensory awareness,<br />
and pantomime skills.<br />
They will also learn more<br />
advanced stage makeup<br />
techniques and receive an<br />
in-depth look at backstage<br />
work,<br />
RCT is instilling a<br />
life-long love of the<br />
performing arts in the<br />
hearts of our youth.<br />

will write, prepare, memorize, and set dress<br />
a complete scripted scene. This camp is for<br />
kids between 11 and 17 years old, with some<br />
prior theater experience.<br />
Music Camp will be held from July 25<br />
to 29th, 9am to 12pm. Attendees will learn<br />
techniques to improve vocal quality and work<br />
in an intensive class with small (5:1) student<br />
teacher ratio to prepare a final musical theater<br />
song for presentation on the last day of camp.<br />
Music camp is open to kids between 8 and 17<br />
years old.<br />
All three camps are held at RCT’s production<br />
office located at 2900 Adams St., Suite B4<br />
