Just steps away from venues like the #1 Legion, Flames Central and The Palomino, as well as our host hotel, the Fairmont Palliser, Olympic Plaza has been our main outdoor site for the last eight years and hosts some of the most enticing local, Canadian and international talent around. Come enjoy some of the festival’s most popular artists in the open air. This is an all-ages and fully licensed event—no hiding out in the beer garden while your favourite band is playing! Beyond tasty Big Rock beer, the site will also be equipped with an assortment of food and non-alcoholic drink options, plus Sled Island and band merch. LINEUP Legendary lo-fi indie rock band Guided By Voices will be headlining the outdoor stage with help from fellow ‘90s icons Built To Spill, recently-reformed and much-loved indie rock project Land of Talk, krautrock-inspired experimenters SUUNS, incisive indie rockers Speedy Ortiz, pulsing indie pop act Moon King, shoegazers The Radiation Flowers and twee punk locals Dream Whip. STAY GREEN Our Green Island team works hard to make sure that taking care of the environment is just another part of the fun at Sled Island. We have easy-to-navigate waste diversion stations, bike valets to help you save time getting in and a water-filling station to make plastic bottles a thing of the past. It’s a breeze! HOW TO ATTEND Entry to Olympic Plaza is included with all Sled Island passes, but single tickets are also available for $50 advance or $55 at the gate.
