FOREIGN VISIT
Outstanding Placements
153 students of B.Sc. and B.Com. were placed in various companies and 30 more
students are awaiting results.
9 students of M.Sc. Organic Chemistry were selected in GVK Bio.
19 students of MCA were placed in WIPRO, 1 was selected in VIRTUSA and 1 got
placed in IBM.
Dr. D. J. Nagendra Kumar visited Chicago State University to participate in activities under
JNTUK–CSU Obama–Singh 21st (Indo-US) Century Knowledge Initiative grant from 28.02.2016
to 05.03.2016. He visited CSU as part of a 3-member team including Dr. G. V. Prasad Raju,
Registrar, JNTUK, Dr. M.H.M. Krishna Prasad, Professor, CSE, JNTUK, Kakinada. The agenda of
activities for the visit included working with Dr. Angela Henderson, Dr. David Kanis, Dr. K Rohan
Attele and Dr. Achanta P on student centered and e-learning pedagogies and assessment,
training in use of smart-board, clickers, and other instructional technologies, reviewing the
CSU model of industrial partnerships and experimenting on delivering online instruction and
research colloquia.
Dr. Nagendra Kumar interacted with CSU UG students and gave a guest lecture on Sentiment
Analysis during his stay at Chicago State University.
FOREIGN LANGUAGE TRAINING
Japanese Language Training Program was conducted in VIT from 21 to 31 December 2016. Ms.
Madhavi Latha of Global Language Solutions, Chennai, was the trainer for this program.
Farewell cum Annual day
celebrations at BVRICE
With heavy hearts, the first and second year degree students had bid farewell to
their seniors. This program was celebrated on 22 February 2016. The principal,
Dr. Ch. V. Srinivas garu presented the annual report in brief and the function was
made more pompous by the motivating voice of our Director and the chief guest
of this occasion Dr. D.Suryanarayana. Students were honored with the prizes
they secured in different areas like Academics, Sports, English Club Activities,
Cultural Club Activities and NSS. The event was made charming with dances,
songs and skits performed by students.

Competency of students
in NSS activities
Students of BVRICE secured various prizes in different fields at zonal level NSS
YOUTH FESTIVAL held at VSK College, Bhimavaram on 23 January 2016. D.
Vijaya Lakshmi and P. Sai Priya of 1st year B.Sc. (BT.BC.C) stood first in debate,
Mr. G.E.V. Satya Tarun of 1st year B.Sc.(BT.BC.C) stood second in Essay Writing,
Ms. G.L.B. Priyanka of 1st B.Sc. (BT.BC.C) secured first prize in Solo Song. Ms. K.
Mani Deepika of 1st B.Sc.(BT.BC.C) secured first prize in Rangoli.

Priya were the runners for debate in the state level competitions held at Vikrama
Simhapuri University, Nellore on 02 February 2016.
HELPING HAND
NSS volunteers of unit I and II under the guidance of Mr. MEAVV Rambabu and
Mr.Y.Kiran Kumar collected a fund of Rs. 25,000 towards National Foundation for
Communal Harmony. They donated three Water Filters and ten dust bins to B.V.
