MEDHA MILAN-2016
Shri Vishnu Engineering College for women,
Bhimavaram, has become an arena for yet another
magnificent event Medha Milan-2016, a two day
National Technical Fest for Engineering and
Management graduates on 11and 12 January 2016.
Vibrant voices at discussion forums, splendor of
creativity at creative galleries, Intellectual acumen at
presentations, enthusiastic fervor at spot events, voice
of wisdom, melodious and mellifluous songs and
rhythmic beat of entertainment, and spectacular
smiles of the participants: all these created a magical
spell in the campus for two days on the eve of the 11th
Medha Milan-2016. Nearly three hundred student
participants from various colleges from nook and
corners of the country took part in the event.
Speaking on the Inaugural ceremony of the fest,
Sri.K.Vishnu Raju, Chairman SVES, exhorted the
women engineers to be ready to grab the employment
opportunities cropping up in the fields of IT and other
industrial sectors. He stressed on the importance of
interpersonal skills and need to maintain rapport with
likeminded people in their field of study to make an
advanced study in their subject. Dr.P.Srinivasa Rao,
Principal of SVECW, invited all the participants to visit
all the Centers of Excellence established in all the
departments of SVECW.
The chief guest of Medha Milan-2016, Sri Venkata Rami
Reddy, General Manager, ITC Agri Business and
Industrial Relations, inspired the audience with his
scholarly guidance. He enlightened the students on
skill development, social responsibility of engineers
and personal excellence. Dr.P Srinivasa Raju, Vice
principal and P.Venkata Rama Raju, convener Medha
Milan-2016 also spoke on the occasion. Students
conducted competitions on various events such as
seminars, paper presentations, quiz, literary and
creative gallery events. In the evening, students
organized various cultural events and food Stalls. The
events were full of fun and frolic that the entire
ambience was electrified with smiles.
Ms. Rajita Singh, Head, Broadridge Financial Services,
India, spoke to the audience on the need for the women
engineers and women managers in the corporate
world. Speaking on the valedictory function of Medha
Milan 2016 in the capacity of the Chief Guest, Ms. Singh
focused on the decision making and how it influences
one's life by quoting incidents from Ramayana and
Mahabharata. Ms. Rajitha Singh gave away the awards
to the winners in various events.
