<strong>Timken</strong> ® SAF split-block housed units are available in rugged cast iron, ductile iron or cast steel to<br />
match a range of industrial environments. Our <strong>Timken</strong> SAF housed units have separate, matched<br />
caps and bases. In larger sizes where housed units are heavier, this split-block design eases<br />
installation. Remove the cap using a pry-tool slot for bearing inspection, service and replacement.<br />
Available in a variety of shaft sizes, <strong>Timken</strong> SAF units offer the choice of tapered-bore design for<br />
easy mounting or a straight-bore design for better axial location. The block can be converted from<br />
fixed to float by removing the stabilizing ring. Several sealing options protect against contamination,<br />
including a standard seal, which is a precision aluminum triple-ring labyrinth seal.<br />
Typical industries and applications<br />
Use <strong>Timken</strong> SAF housed bearings in power generation, coal, mining, aggregate, cement, metals,<br />
pulp, paper and other forestry operations, water treatment and food processing industries.<br />
Applications include warehousing, conveyors, movable bridges/heavy structures, industrial<br />
