<strong>NUDE</strong>: Let’s start of with a little introduction. Tell us about your<br />
position at RAEN and give a little background on the company.<br />
Jordan: Sure. My name is Jordan Percy, I’m a Co-Founder and my<br />
role is that of Design Director - I head up production here at RAEN.<br />
The company is a design-driven independent eyewear brand. We<br />
were founded by designers, determined to create authentic,<br />
innovative, hand-made optics that ofer intrinsic value and timeless<br />
style.<br />
<strong>NUDE</strong>: How did RAEN originally get its start and how long has it<br />
been established?<br />
Jordan: RAEN was founded in the summer of 2008. We started<br />
RAEN with the intention to create modern classics, really great<br />
handmade eyewear, using superior lens' and acetate material, at a<br />
reasonable price. We’ve always presented this product through the<br />
lens of friends, ambassadors, and comrades who share our passions<br />
for travel, surf and adventures of all kinds to create an authentic<br />
lifestyle brand.<br />
<strong>NUDE</strong>: The company prides itself on timeless optics and vintage<br />
styles. Could you tell us more about where your design inspirations<br />
come from?<br />
Jordan: Since day one, we’ve used the term “modern classic.” It<br />
implies that while we may be taking inspiration from the past, it is<br />
not complete unless it feels wholly modern. We strive to create<br />
frames grounded in a classic, timeless aesthetic that also feel<br />
contemporary and original. All our designs start with pen to paper,<br />
and may be inspired from any number of things. Our story boards<br />
include architecture, auto design, bikes, textiles and images we take<br />
while traveling - it's a really eclectic pool of inspiration we are<br />
drawing from.<br />

<strong>NUDE</strong>: What makes you guys unique compared to other sunglass<br />
brands?<br />
Jordan: I think it's finding the right combination of all the key<br />
points mentioned above. Finding that sweet spot of quality<br />
handmade cratsmanship, original design, and authentic lifestyle<br />
that grounds us and connects us to our audience.<br />
<strong>NUDE</strong>: If you wanted the company to be known by one thing, what<br />
would it be?<br />
