Boeing: The second largest arms company in the world, Boeing is supplying the Turkish<br />

Land Rover: UK company now owned by TaTa motors – based in Coventry. Land Rover has a<br />

strong relationship with Warwick University and Coventry University. The Land Rover<br />

Defender is produced under license by Otokar. Otokar's Akrep is based on Land Rover<br />

Non-Lethal Technologies: US company which manufactures teargas used by Turkey. Its<br />

teargas has also been used against protesters in Palestine. Non-Lethal Technologies gas was<br />

fired at protesters during the Gezi Park uprising and at protesters in Amed during the<br />

serhildan (uprising) against Turkey's support for the Daesh attacks on Kobanê in 2014.<br />

Condor Non-Lethal Technologies: Brazilian company that manufactures teargas used by<br />

Turkey. Condor's gas canisters were fired at people who had come to Suruç in 2014 to show<br />

solidarity with people under attack in Kobanê.<br />

Israel Aerospace Industries: Manufactures Heron drones used by Turkey.<br />

Northrop Grumman: Northrop Grumman states that it is "in partnership with Turkish Aerospace<br />

Industries and Aselsan in contributing to a variety ofTurkey’s defence capabilities and programmes." 61<br />

Northrop Grumman is a principal subcontractor ofthe Lockheed Martin-led F35 team.<br />

AgustaWestland: Ten T-129 attack helicopters produced by AgustaWestland and Turkish<br />

Aerospace Industries were delivered to the Turkish military in 2015. AgustaWestland has now<br />

fully merged with Italian arms giant Finmeccanica. Seventeen more ofthese helicopters are<br />

due to be delivered in 2016. 62<br />

In March 2016, the Pentagon authorised the selling ofsmart bombs to Turkey, in a deal worth<br />

millions ofdollars."The deal came timely as we are deeply engaged in asymmetrical warfare and need<br />

smart bombs," 63 a Turkish military official said. US companies ENF and General Dynamics<br />

have been awarded the contracts to provide the BLU-109 bombs.<br />
