Most people I know spend
their working hours working
on, and their sleeping
hours dreaming about,
leaving this place better
than we found it. Whether
it’s education, government,
or even concerns with law
enforcement, the bottom
line is how can we build
rather than destroy. I think
this is an important factor
and what sets us apart.”
Elvina Larden agrees with
that sentiment and she
works hard at helping
to create change in the
world through mentoring
a group of girls locally
through her Heavenly Ranch
organization. The girls learn
everything from manners
and etiquette to respect and
making a difference. The girls
also go to local events and
perform through song and
dance. “They are wonderful
girls and I believe they are
already making a difference
even at their young ages,"
said Larden.
None of us can do it all but
all of us can do something!

Kraus invited them to take a tour of his office. Hadley wants to be a SWAT
team officer when he grows up and is a graduate of the Junior Deputy program
through the Calcasieu Parish Sheriff 's Office. Lexi will attend the Junior Deputy
program this year.
