HAUTE DOGS AT
THE MARK THIS SUMMER
Michelin Star Chef Jean-Georges Vongerichten stations a unique
gourmet hot dog cart outside The Mark hotel in Manhattan
Summer fun and food is here. In celebration of New York’s
number one street-food staple, the kitsch ‘haute’ dog
stand bears The Mark’s signature black and white stripes
and serves epicurean organic chicken and grass fed
beef hot dogs exclusively for hotel guests and neighbourhood
friends. Hot dogs are available at US$6 each and are served
with a special Kimchi relish and homemade condiments – the
perfect accompaniment to a stroll along Madison Avenue or
through Central Park in the sunshine.
Guests of the hotel can pair their ‘haute’ dog with one of the
seasonal cocktails on the summer menu at The Mark Bar
and Restaurant. Reflecting the hotel’s contemporary French
style, the summer cocktail menu incorporates a “French Film”
themed twist to classic recipes. From The Mark Bellini – a light
Prosecco with peach nectar, to the Hugo – a mouthwatering
Hendrick’s Gin with Saint Germain Elderflower, Green
Chartreuse and Lime.
Other gourmet experiences exclusive to those staying at
The Mark this summer include The Mark’s pedicab service,
available for scenic private tours of Central Park complete with
a Jean-Georges picnic hamper and rug.
End the day and complete their gastronomic experience by
dining at Jean- Georges Michelin Star restaurant itself, which
features a world-class menu of subtly innovative European
classics, such as tuna tartare with chive oil, chargrilled octopus,
and Maine mussels mariniere with fennel, basil and French
fries.
The Mark is located in the heart of the Upper East Side, just a
few blocks away from the famous Museum Mile – a total of 10
museums along Fifth Avenue and one of the largest collections
of art in the world.
